Azure OpenAI routing

Use Azure OpenAI through one stable address

Run TEKIZ.AI on a machine or server you control with your Azure OpenAI endpoint and key. Your apps keep one router address as you change deployments. Hosted access uses a separate TEKIZ.AI key and the models available to your account.

Use your own Azure account

Configure your AZURE_OPENAI_API_KEY and AZURE_OPENAI_ENDPOINT on a router you control. Your Azure account provides model access.

OpenAI-compatible setup

For the hosted API, point OpenAI-compatible apps at https://api.tekiz.ai/v1. Hosted requests use routes available to your account. To use your own Azure OpenAI credentials, configure them on a local router.

Change deployments in one place

Choose by model profile, Azure deployment name, availability, speed, and input support. Every app can keep one gateway configuration.

Send a test request

This tests your hosted TEKIZ.AI key with automatic routing. To use Azure OpenAI with your own credentials, set up a local router and configure the credentials on that router.

export OPENAI_BASE_URL=https://api.tekiz.ai/v1
export OPENAI_API_KEY=sk_tekiz_your_generated_key

curl "$OPENAI_BASE_URL/chat/completions" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OPENAI_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "tekizai/auto",
    "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Summarize a safe API retry strategy."}]
  }'

Share requests across Azure endpoints

Add more than one authorized key, endpoint, or deployment. TEKIZ.AI uses those that are working and pauses only the path that fails.

When an Azure deployment rate-limits

If Azure OpenAI rate-limits a request, TEKIZ.AI can try another configured key or deployment, or an eligible provider or local model.

Send files to services that accept them

Images, audio, video, and documents are sent only to models that can handle that kind of input.

Use accounts you are allowed to use

Your own Azure OpenAI access and Azure billing stay separate from hosted TEKIZ.AI access. On a router you control, TEKIZ.AI can try another eligible model when you configure one.

Next steps

Create an API key, copy the hosted quickstart, use the OpenAI-compatible setup, or estimate routing fit.

Stay within your approved services

If your company approves only Azure OpenAI, keep that boundary. TEKIZ.AI can reduce token burn by choosing eligible models. Your Azure account handles provider billing.
